When Cardinia Transit commenced, all operations were from the present depot site at 9 Mary Street, Pakenham. The office facilities were upgraded in 1996 when Cardinia Transit started and are presently undergoing further renovations, including increasing the size of our workshops. These facilities will greatly improve facilities for all staff. Over the last ten years we have progressively increased the parking area, to allow for the additional buses and staff. Cardinia Transit’s fleet features two Scania Coaches, which are painted red with large paintings of cockatoos and kookaburras at the rear of the vehicles. These birds were chosen as they are seen in large numbers in the Cardinia area and provided a clear local identity for the vehicles. These coaches have been very popular in the area and have been very successful. Cardinia Transit has experienced a large amount of growth over recent times in our route services. This will continue in the future as our services keep up with the growth in the City of Casey and Cardinia Shire. SCHOOLS WE SERVICE: Haileybury College, Maranatha Christian College, St. Francis Xavier College, Pakenham Secondary College, Berwick Secondary College, Kambrya Secondary, Narre Warren South. |
